TED TALK
America's Native American Concentration Camps

(from one commentator on TEDtalk)
Feb 20 2013: I am Lakota. I am from Lower Brule, SD and I have to say that I absolutely love this website and watching the videos from these conferences. BUT, it saddens me that this is the ONLY talk that I can find that pertains to Indian Country. There are many Natives in America who are donig really well there are also many other injustices being done that need attention brought to them, such as the tribal education system or lack thereof would be a better way to put it. I am sad to see ANOTHER "poor poor pitiful Pine Ridge" schpeel done. This would have been a really great oppertunity to spread the word about what modern Native people aspire to be and how they could get there with help from the rest of the world, instead of how bad off they are. I'm not saying that this isnt a story that should be told, its told mostly as it was and different from the way most learn it. I AM saying that there is soooooo much more to Lakota people and Indian people all over that does us no justice!
